Welcome to K9 MEDIC

This Agreement governs your access to and use of all K9 MEDIC services, products, and resources. By creating an account, making a purchase, or registering for K9 MEDIC services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions contained in this Agreement.

What This Agreement Covers

This Agreement applies to:

• K9 MEDIC Online Academy – All online courses, training modules, video content, and digital educational materials accessed through the K9 MEDIC online learning platform
• Live Events (HQ-Hosted) – All in-person training events, workshops, seminars, and courses conducted by K9 MEDIC headquarters staff
• Live Events (Affiliate-Hosted) – Training events conducted by authorized K9 MEDIC affiliates (note: affiliates set their own refund and cancellation policies)
• Product Purchases – Physical products such as training kits, apparel, equipment, and merchandise purchased through the K9 MEDIC website
• All K9 MEDIC Services – Any other products, programs, or services offered by K9 MEDIC LLC

Third-Party Services

• Affiliate link purchases – Products purchased through third-party affiliate links (such as Amazon) are subject to the third party’s terms and conditions, not this Agreement
• Print-on-demand and ship-on-demand services – These services are governed by the respective vendor’s terms in addition to this Agreement

Who This Agreement Applies To

This Agreement applies to all customers, students, participants, and users who:

• Create an account on the K9 MEDIC platform
• Purchase products or services from K9 MEDIC
• Register for any K9 MEDIC online course or live event
• Access K9 MEDIC educational materials or resources
• Participate in any K9 MEDIC program

Acceptance of Terms

By signing this Agreement, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age, OR if under 18, your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consents to these terms
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this binding agreement (or parental consent has been obtained)
• You agree to comply with all terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement
• You understand that failure to comply may result in termination of your access to K9 MEDIC services

One Agreement for All K9 MEDIC Services

This single agreement covers all transactions, registrations, and interactions with K9 MEDIC, replacing the need for separate agreements for each purchase, course, or event.

Information We Collect

When you register for K9 MEDIC services, we collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Professional information (agency, role, department)
• Payment information (processed securely through our payment provider)
• Course progress and completion data
• Communications with K9 MEDIC staff and other students (including community forums and online discussions)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide access to courses and training events
• Process payments and registrations
• Send course-related communications and updates
• Facilitate student community and peer learning
• Improve our educational programs
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Third-party service providers who assist in delivering our services (payment processing, email delivery, course hosting, community platforms)
• Affiliates hosting events you’ve registered for (name and contact info only)
• Other students in community forums and learning environments
• Law enforcement or government agencies when required by law

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers

K9 MEDIC serves students internationally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using our services, you consent to such transfers.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Opt out of marketing communications (course-related emails will still be sent)
• Withdraw consent for data processing (may limit access to services)

Data Retention

Release of Liability

I hereby assume full responsibility for my actions during all K9 MEDIC training sessions, programs, and activities (both online and in-person), and I hereby waive any and all claims that I may have against Jo-Anne Brenner, K9 MEDIC LLC, its instructors, staff, agents, affiliates, contractors, the animals involved, or anyone else present during training for any injuries, damages, losses, or claims of any kind sustained by me or to my property during any K9 MEDIC program or activity.

Acknowledgment of Personal Responsibility

I understand and acknowledge that:

• Participation in K9 MEDIC training programs involves inherent risks
• I am voluntarily participating in these activities
• I am responsible for assessing my own physical and mental capability to participate safely
• I am responsible for following all safety instructions and guidelines provided by K9 MEDIC instructors
• I will immediately notify instructors of any unsafe conditions or personal limitations

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless K9 MEDIC LLC, Jo-Anne Brenner, and all affiliated instructors, staff, and agents from any and all claims, demands, losses, causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgments, including attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or relating to my participation in K9 MEDIC programs.

Scope of Waiver

This waiver applies to all K9 MEDIC activities including but not limited to:

• Online courses and virtual training sessions
• Live in-person training events
• Hands-on training with live animals or training aids
• Physical demonstrations and practice sessions
• Use of training equipment and facilities

Understanding the Risks

I understand that participation in K9 MEDIC training programs involves certain inherent risks and hazards. I voluntarily choose to participate with full knowledge and understanding of these risks.

Animal-Related Risks (If Applicable)

If I choose to interact with live animals during K9 MEDIC programs, I acknowledge:

• Animals are unpredictable by nature and may bite, scratch, jump, or otherwise cause injury
• Even well-trained animals can behave unexpectedly
• I understand the cautions associated with interacting with live animals
• I will use all precautions appropriate under the circumstances to prevent injury to myself and others
• I am solely responsible for my safety when interacting with animals

Cadaver and Biological Material Handling (If Applicable)

I understand and accept the risks associated with handling cadavers and biological materials, if applicable to my training program, including:

• Exposure to biological materials
• Psychological impact
• Physical handling requirements
• Proper safety protocols and personal protective equipment usage

Training Equipment and Simulation Risks (If Applicable)

I acknowledge that K9 MEDIC training may involve the use of:

• Simulation equipment and training aids
• Blank ammunition, smoke devices, or other training props
• Realistic scenario-based training environments
• Potential for noise, smoke, or other sensory elements

I understand the proper use and safety protocols for all training equipment and will follow all instructor guidance.

Physical Activity Risks

I acknowledge that K9 MEDIC training may involve physical activity and I understand the associated risks including:

• Physical exertion and strain
• Potential for slips, trips, and falls
• Use of training equipment
• Outdoor training conditions (weather, terrain, etc.)
• Lifting, carrying, or moving equipment or animals

Assumption of All Risks

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, associated with my participation in K9 MEDIC programs, even if such risks arise from the negligence or carelessness of K9 MEDIC, its instructors, or other participants.

K9 MEDIC Intellectual Property

I agree that all Intellectual Property owned by K9 MEDIC (including K9 MEDIC’s name and the names of its products, its methods, knowledge and intelligence, any and all works, items, information or materials including but not limited to the Training Materials) remains the sole property of K9 MEDIC LLC and must not be used without K9 MEDIC’s prior written consent or authority.

Prohibited Uses

I agree that I shall not disseminate, publish, reproduce, share, distribute, sell, or otherwise circulate any Intellectual Property belonging to K9 MEDIC including works, items, information or materials of whatever nature or copies thereof without express written permission.

Protected Materials Include:

• Online course videos and recordings
• Training manuals, handouts, and presentations
• Presentation slides and materials
• Proprietary training methods and protocols
• K9 MEDIC branding, logos, and trademarks
• Student worksheets and assessment materials
• Any other educational content created by or for K9 MEDIC

Permitted Personal and Professional Use

You may:

• Access and view course materials for your own personal learning
• Take notes for your own personal reference
• Download and use materials explicitly marked as “shareable” or “downloadable”
• Print handouts for your own personal training use
• Share materials designated as shareable with colleagues and team members for work-related purposes
• Share your K9 MEDIC training experience, photos, and content on social media

You may NOT:

• Share login credentials or course access with others
• Reproduce and distribute complete courses or substantial portions of course content
• Use K9 MEDIC materials to teach your own courses or training programs without permission
• Sell or commercially exploit any K9 MEDIC materials
• Remove K9 MEDIC branding or claim K9 MEDIC content as your own work
• Represent yourself as a K9 MEDIC Instructor (HQ or Affiliate) without proper certification and authorization from K9 MEDIC

Enforcement

Violation of these intellectual property terms may result in immediate termination of your access to K9 MEDIC services without refund, and K9 MEDIC reserves the right to pursue legal action for damages.

Media Recording at K9 MEDIC Events

I am aware that K9 MEDIC classes and events may be photographed and/or recorded for educational and marketing purposes.

General Consent

I hereby grant K9 MEDIC permission to use my likeness in photographs, videos, or other digital reproductions in any and all of its publications and materials, including but not limited to:

• Website content
• Social media posts and stories
• Promotional materials and advertisements
• Educational content and course materials
• Marketing campaigns and presentations
• Printed materials and brochures

I understand that:

• No payment or compensation will be provided for use of my likeness
• K9 MEDIC retains full ownership of all media created
• Media may be used indefinitely unless I request removal
• I may be tagged or identified in social media posts

Restrictions and Exceptions

Identity Security: If, for security purposes, my identity may not be shared publicly, I will notify the lead instructor at the beginning of class to ensure that identifying features (including face and/or uniform identification) are excluded from any public media.

Agency/Employer Restrictions: If my agency or employer prohibits appearing in promotional materials or public media (due to endorsement policies or other restrictions), I will notify the lead instructor at the beginning of class. K9 MEDIC will make reasonable efforts to accommodate these restrictions, though some media capture may be unavoidable in group training settings.

Requesting Removal

If at any time I wish to have my likeness removed from K9 MEDIC media, I may contact K9 MEDIC at www.K9MEDIC.com/woof. K9 MEDIC will make reasonable efforts to remove or obscure my likeness from future publications, though removal from previously distributed materials may not be possible.

Professional Behavior Standards

All K9 MEDIC students and participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times during online courses, live events, and any K9 MEDIC-related activities.

Expected Conduct

You agree to:

• Treat instructors, staff, affiliates, and fellow students with respect and courtesy
• Follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by K9 MEDIC instructors
• Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled training sessions
• Participate actively and constructively in training activities
• Maintain a professional demeanor in all communications (online forums, emails, chat, social media)
• Respect the learning environment and avoid disruptive behavior
• Handle all animals humanely and according to instructor guidance
• Maintain confidentiality of other students’ personal information

Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind
• Threatening, violent, or aggressive behavior (verbal or physical)
• Intoxication or use of illegal substances during training
• Theft or damage to K9 MEDIC property or the property of others
• Any behavior that compromises safety or violates applicable laws

Consequences

K9 MEDIC reserves the right to remove any student from a course, event, or program for violation of this Code of Conduct. Removal may be immediate and without warning for serious violations.

In the event of removal for Code of Conduct violations:

• No refund will be issued
• Access to online courses may be terminated
• Future enrollment may be denied
• Law enforcement may be contacted if applicable

Reporting Concerns

If you witness or experience conduct that violates these standards, please report it to K9 MEDIC staff immediately or contact us at www.K9MEDIC.com/woof.

Account Creation and Access

When you create a K9 MEDIC account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• Notify K9 MEDIC immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password. You may not:

• Share your login credentials with others
• Allow others to access courses or content using your account
• Create multiple accounts for the same individual
• Transfer or sell your account access to another person

Course Access Duration

Online course access is provided for 2 years from the date of enrollment, unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase.

Account Suspension or Termination

K9 MEDIC reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of any terms in this Agreement
• Fraudulent activity or misuse of services
• Non-payment or payment disputes
• Any reason deemed necessary to protect K9 MEDIC or other users

Upon termination:

• Your access to all K9 MEDIC services will be immediately revoked
• You must cease all use of K9 MEDIC materials
• No refund will be issued for violations of this Agreement

Modifications to Services

K9 MEDIC reserves the right to:

• Modify, update, or discontinue any course or service at any time
• Change pricing for future enrollments
• Update platform features or functionality
• Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that may temporarily limit access

Updates to Terms

K9 MEDIC may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or posted notice. Continued use of K9 MEDIC services after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

Online Academy Courses

Money-Back Guarantee: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all online academy courses. If you are not satisfied with your course for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase.

Course Access: Online course access is provided for 2 years from the date of enrollment, unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase.

Live Events – K9 MEDIC HQ-Hosted

Student Cancellations:

• 30+ days before event: Full refund
• 7-30 days before event: 50% refund
• Less than 7 days before event: No refund, but may transfer registration to another person

Registration Transfers: You may transfer your HQ-hosted event registration to another person at any time prior to the event at no charge. Simply notify K9 MEDIC with the new attendee’s information.

No-Shows: If you fail to attend an event without prior cancellation, no refund will be issued. However, you may contact us to discuss options for future events on a case-by-case basis.

K9 MEDIC HQ Cancellations: If K9 MEDIC must cancel an event for any reason, you will receive:

• Full refund of registration fees, OR
• Option to reschedule for a future event, OR
• Credit toward any other K9 MEDIC program or product

In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (government funding issues, disasters, insufficient enrollment, etc.), K9 MEDIC will make every reasonable effort to provide at least 30 days notice and reschedule the event when possible.

Live Events – Affiliate-Hosted

For events hosted by K9 MEDIC affiliates (including international affiliates), refund and cancellation policies are set by the hosting affiliate. Please refer to the affiliate’s specific terms at the time of registration.

Agreement Acceptance

By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions in this K9 MEDIC Terms & Conditions.

If you are 18 years of age or older: Your signature confirms you have the legal capacity to enter into this binding agreement.

If you are under 18 years of age: Your signature confirms that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf and consents to your participation in K9 MEDIC programs.
